Enjoying the long holiday weekend in Steamboat Springs? After a beautiful sunny, Thanksgiving day that provided clear blue skies and perfectly groomed ski runs, there was nothing better than skiing down to the base for free hot chocolate and powder day doughnuts. The thankfulness of being with my family and friends sunk in as I looked around at this beautiful mountain town. Steamboat feels like home and provides the best of how vacations are made; time with family, friends, loved ones, skiing/riding, fun activities and a friendly western heritage that makes you feel welcomed.
As the weekend commences, there are a lot of family-friendly holiday happenings in Steamboat Springs, including the holiday lights, Santa, shopping deals and more skiing. Speaking of more… there is more snow on the way too!
