Holiday Happenings in the 'Boat

Let the festivities begin!  For the weekend of December 22nd through the holiday season, see below for family fun holiday happenings and events in the 'Boat!

-DECEMBER 21st: Take a run during Yampatika Ski With a Naturalist event. This is a free program that takes place on Steamboat Ski Area, however it does not include a lift ticket. Meet at the Why Not trail head at the top of the Gondola at Steamboat Ski Resort on Tuesday and Thursday, December 12 - March 15.

-DECEMBER 22nd:  FREE snowshoe tour at Fish Creek Falls from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This tour is offered weekly from December 15 - March 16. Join Yampatika for a moderately strenuous snowshoe tour along the breathtaking Fish Creek Canyon. This tour is for ages 12 and up. The snowshoe tour is free program, however registration is required. Please call (970) 871-9151 to register.

-DECEMBER 23rd:  Visit with Santa every Saturday until December 23rd from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bank of the West Santa House located downtown at 555 Lincoln Ave.

-DECEMBER 28th:  Neil Berg's Holiday Christmas from 7 to 9 p.m. at Strings Music Festival.  The number one touring Broadway concert in America brings Broadway's finest stars and greatest songs together for an unforgettable holiday event. Neil Berg's Broadway Holiday features hits ranging from classic shows such as My Fair Lady and South Pacific, through ground breakers like West Side Story and Chicago, to current blockbusters like Jersey Boys, and Wicked. DECEMBER 29th:  SKATE WITH THE GRINCH
Bring the whole family for Christmas-themed open skating at Howelsen Ice Arena with the Grinch. The Grinch and his Whos will be there to serve hot chocolate and skate with your wee ones. For more information on this event fun for all ages, please contact Celina at 704-929-7849.

DECEMBER 31st:  FAMILY FUN NEW YEAR’S EVE BASH
Ringing in the New Year with kids? Celebrate a kid-friendly time with the Family Fun New Year’s Eve bash at the Steamboat Grant. The festivities kick off with a family-style buffet dinner in the Grand Ballroom followed by magic, juggling, and comedy with We’re Not Clowns. DJ entertainment, other children’s activities and face painting fill the time before the 2018 countdown, complete with noise makers and party hats. Get tickets at www.steamboat.com. Pricing includes tax and gratuity; children 5 and under are free.
