The start of ski season is less than two weeks away. Snowmaking has been running full throttle in preparation for opening day. The resorts are ready to receive skiers! Mother Nature has chipped in to make the slopes even sweeter. The end of October brought fantastic snowfall to Steamboat Springs!
This week, Colorado saw massive amounts of snow in the mountains! Now, snow is on the ground across almost the entire state. Steamboat Springs's snowfall was much needed. The town got a nice 4 inch boost, with closer to 6 inches of snow falling on the mountain! With the recent cold weather, this snow isn't going away anytime soon.
Ski season has been slow to start this year because of abnormally dry, warm weather. Many resorts that typically open in the middle of the month were forced to postpone opening. Steamboat Springs is currently set to open November 23.
