Olympic Send Off Happenings and More in Steamboat this Weekend!

-JANUARY 25th through March 15th: Take a run during Yampatika Ski With a Naturalist event. This is a free program that takes place on Steamboat Ski Area, however it does not include a lift ticket. Meet at the Why Not trail head at the top of the Gondola at Steamboat Ski Resort on Tuesday and Thursday through March 15.

-JANUARY 26th and FEBRUARY 2nd:  FREE snowshoe tour at Fish Creek Falls from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This tour is offered weekly throughMarch 16. Join Yampatika for a moderately strenuous snowshoe tour along the breathtaking Fish Creek Canyon. This tour is for ages 12 and up. The snowshoe tour is free program, however registration is required. -JANUARY 25th:   Wine Dinner at Cloverdal Restaurant at 6:00 p.m.  Join Cloverdale Restaurant for this unique and intimate opportunity to dine with William Davis from Wilson Daniels.  Cloverdale Restaurant is an upscale Farm-to-Table Dining venue in beautiful downtown Steamboat Springs, located at 207 9th Street.

-JANUARY 25th - 27th:  Steamboat Dance Theatre 46th annual performance.  More than 100 of Steamboat Springs' local dancers take the stage for a mixed-genre performance that includes hip hop, lyrical, modern dance and tapPerformers have been rehearsing since October to bring the community this year’s show encompassing the theme, “A Moment in Time."  Showing 3 evening performances at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6 p.m.), plus a children's matinee at 1 p.m. on January 27.  All proceeds from the concert benefit Steamboat Dance Theatre’s dance scholarship and community outreach programs.  Tickets will be available online at steamboatdancetheatre.org beginning January 8. JANUARY 27th:  2018 Olympic Send Off, 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. at the Base of Steamboat Ski Area in Gondola Square.

Steamboat Olympian Send Off

With over 80 winter Olympians who call Steamboat home, the entire community embraces it's Olympic heritage and the accomplishments of the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club.

Come out and honor our past and future Olympians. The event finale will feature fireworks and the lighting of the community cauldron which will burn throughout the 2018 games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

5:00 p.m.  Main Event including past Olympian recognition and introduction of 2018 Steamboat athletes competing in Pyeongchang in addition to Olympic athletes who have been training in Steamboat Springs this year.
