August 8, 2017
You do not have to be the athlete type to enjoy the beauty of the mountains. There are so many fun things to do around Steamboat Springs in the summer that do not require hiking boots or a mountain bike but are guaranteed to deliver great memories. Here is a list of a few suggestions that are going to keep everybody in your travel company entertained but not sweating this summer:

Sunset Happy Hour
There is no better way to spend a summer evening in Steamboat Springs than watching the sun setting above the beautiful Yampa Valley. The best way to enjoy the incredible show that nature puts on is from the cozy deck of Thunderhead at above 9,100ft above sea level with a delicious cocktail in your hand. Sunset happy hour is open on most Thursday and Sunday nights through August, and most Friday and Sunday nights in September. Attendance is limited and regularly fills-up early so plan accordingly. Gondola loading starts at 5 p.m. as you head up to Thunderhead while taking in the view. Enjoy drink specials, appetizers, and live music while you wait for the sunset. Afterwards, enjoy the stars and lights of downtown as you make your descent back to the base area.

Hot Air Balloon Adventures
Taking a hot air balloon tour is a truly memorable adventure and the best way to experience the beauty of the mountains. Steamboat Springs has deep hot air balloon traditions celebrated annually during the Hot Air Balloon Rodeo. So if balloon flying is on your bucket list there is no better place to do it than the Yampa Valley.
