Steamboat is a Happening Place

March 28, 2018

Steamboat has three more weeks of skiing and the snow is just about as perfect as it was back in January.  With snow accumulation piling up in the past few weeks, spring skiing is not your typical "spring slush' but rather spring powder takeover.  Come to Steamboat and enjoy the last few weeks of spring's finest.  See below for a list of happenings to keep you hanging around the 'boat all April long.

MARCH 29th:  Sunset Happy Hour from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the top of the gondola.  Gondola loading starts at 5 p.m. as you head up to Thunderhead while taking in the view.  Enjoy drink specials, appetizers, and live music while you wait for the sunset.  Afterwards, enjoy the stars and lights of downtown as you make your descent back to the base area.  $15 includes Gondola Ride and $5 towards food or beverage.  Season pass holders ride for free.  Tickets can be purchased in the Gondola entrance as you board.  Space is limited and regularly fills up early so please plan accordingly.

-MARCH 30th and 31st:  Ice Show:  Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on ice from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.  Join the Steamboat Skating Club for an evening of athleticism and art as members of the figure skating, hockey and theater communities combine for this evening of pure imagination. The event will feature a production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on ice. For additional info, please contact the Steamboat Skating Club by clicking here.

-MARCH 30th and 31st:  One Act Plays at the Chief Theater.  The Chief Players are proud to present their annual production, An Evening of One Acts;  an eclectic mix of one act plays (warning: some adult language and content).  Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 and are available online by clicking the link here.

-MARCH 31st:  FREE Concert at the base of the Steamboat Ski from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. with The Goonies.  Based in Boulder, CO, this 4-piece rock band will rip your shirts off with their shredding guitar solos and unravel your sense of space and time.  Fun for the whole family.
