Winter Fun on a Snowmobile Tour

February 6, 2018

Have you ever ridden on a snowmobile through fields of snowy powder?  I never did until I went up on Rabbit Ears Pass on a snowmobile tour and it was a thrill of a good time. I felt very safe, too!

Northwest Colorado has been claimed to have some of the best snowmobiling in the country.  People come from all over to ride in our National Forests throughout the Steamboat Springs area and Routt County.  Personal favorites are on the Continental Divide trail up on Rabbit Ears pass. There is an entire area with trails and open space dedicated just to Snowmobiling.

Don't have a snowmobile to test it out? No problem, Steamboat Snowmobile is an amazing snowmobile company that has been in business for years leading tours throughout Routt County. They have a comfortable, complimentary shuttle that will whisk you away to their their cozy log cabin on Rabbit Ears pass. At 10,000 feet altitude, you will ride in champagne powder on high mountain meadows and groomed trails. There is a brief orientation by a friendly, experienced guide, and then you will tour on a newly expanded trail system driving a new Arctic Cat Snowmobile equipped with hand warmers and all the latest conveniences for your comfort.

Steamboat Snowmobile tours has 2-hour tours, 4-hour tours, full day and a dinner tour. There are also other snowmobile companies that can take you around Routt County up to Clark/Hahn's Peak area as well as west Routt county. Check out www.steamboat.net for more information on Steamboat activities and lodging.
